We will hold our PICNIC fundraiser on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Miwok Shelter, Huddart Park, 1100 Kings Mountain Road, Woodside CA, 94062, starting at 1PM. You are welcome to come earlier.

Event fees: (All food and drinks are included in the event fee.)

•  Adults (18 years+)
•  members: $35 ($25 if paid online in advance, extra donations welcome!)
•  non-members: $40 ($30 if paid online in advance, extra donations welcome!)
•  Students - $10
•  Kids - free

All income from the Picnic will go to the ETF BAFA Student Award and Scholarship Fund. Extra donations and annual memberships can be combined into a single payment. Please leave a comment when sending money via paypal.

As usual, we will serve Serbian-style barbecue, and homemade appetizers, salads and deserts. If you would like to contribute to the event with food or refreshment donations, please contact us at etfbafa@gmail.com

The meeting will be over zoom. We will update our plans for 2026 with new projects to educate and connect members with a goal of improving our community as well as helping members be more effective in their careers and in finding jobs.

ETF BAFA Tech Talk March 29, 2025: Graded Logic for Decision Support Systems

ETF BAFA invites members and friends to join us over zoom on Saturday March 29, 2025, 11am-11:45am California time for a lecture by Prof. Jozo Dujmović: "Graded Logic for Decision Support Systems." 

Speaker: Prof. Jozo Dujmović 

Abstract: Graded logic (GL) is used for modelling human commonsense reasoning. This presentation marks 50 years of GL’s development and application, coinciding with the forthcoming publication of the book Graded Logic. GL is a seamless generalization of the classical Boolean logic and fuzzy logic. It is used as a mathematical infrastructure for decision support systems. We will show main GL ideas and several applications.

Jozo Dujmović received his Dip. Ing., M.Sc., and Sc.D. degrees from the University of Belgrade, where he studied electronic and telecommunications engineering as a scholar of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute. After graduation, he worked at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute before transitioning to academia. He has served as a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Belgrade School of Electrical Engineering, the University of Florida (Gainesville), the University of Texas (Dallas), and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is currently a Professor at San Francisco State University. With 61 years of full-time professional experience, his research interests focus on decision support systems.

Нарастајућe медијско и физичко насиље према студентима који протестују на факултету обесмишљава наставне и професионалне активности, a приоритизује заштиту безбедности колега у Београду.

ETF-BAFA Board Elections (2025)

Electronic voting for the ETF BAFA Board of Directors was open between January 12 and January 20, 2025. Only members of ETF BAFA who pay their membership fees were eligible to vote. All board members including two new members got more than 75% of votes and will serve on the board of ETF BAFA starting from January 2025. Members of the new board are:

The board elected the 2025 officers of ETF BAFA: Dr. Zoran Dimitrijevic will serve as a President, Dr. Ksenija Lakovic will continue to serve as a Secretary, and Prof. Dr. Jasmina Vujic will continue to serve as a Treasurer (CFO).
