ETF BAFA 16th Annual Gathering

ETF BAFA will have its 16th Annual Gathering on Saturday, November 4, from 6 pm to 10:30 pm, in downtown San Francisco.

Program:

6:00 - 7:00 pm Social Hour
7:00 - 7:30 pm The program will consist of a short summary of ETF-BAFA accomplishments (professional activities, student awards and stipends, humanitarian work), followed by a presentation of the Award for the Best Diploma Paper in 2016 to Nikola Micic, an undergraduate from the Electrical Engineering Departmet of the Belgrade University.
7:30pm - 8:00pm Lecture "Early years of computing in Serbia - Сећања на прве године рачунарства у Србији” Prof. Jozo Dujmovic, SFSU.
Bring your very old personal computer for the exhibition. The oldest personal computer will win an award!
8:00 - 10:30 pm Reception and the music program prepared by Gordana Stojanovic-Mihajlovic and Nena Lovre.

ETF BAFA 2016-17 Student Stipends and Awards

The following students from ETF Belgrade received the 2016-17 ETF BAFA Stipends:
Jelena Trisovic, the 3rd year student ($1200)
Vojislav Gligorovski, the 3rd year student ($1200)

The following students from ETF Belgrade received the 2016 ETF BAFA Awards for best diploma papers:
  1. The First Award (paid travel to the SF Bay Area and SiIlicon Valley): Nikola Micic (mentor Prof. Zeljko Djurisic) 
  2. The Second Award ($500): Stevan Zaric (mentor Prof. Jasna Crnjanski)
  3. The Third Award ($500): Bojan Savic (mentor Prof. Bosko Nikolic)

These awards and stipends were announced at the traditional ETF Ballroom Dance Party, which was held on Sunday, December 25, 2016, in Belgrade.
