17th Annual ETF BAFA Gathering, Saturday, October 27 @ 6pm

ETF BAFA will have its 17th Annual Gathering on Saturday, October 27, from 6 pm to 10:30 pm, in downtown San Francisco.

7:00 - 7:30 pm The program will consist of a short summary of ETF-BAFA accomplishments (professional activities, student awards and stipends, humanitarian work), followed by a presentation of the Award for the Best Diploma Paper in 2017 to Marija Novicic from the Electrical Engineering Department of the Belgrade University. Her mentor was Doc. Dr. Milica Jankovic, ETF, Belgrade).

7:30pm - 8:00pm Guest Lectures

2018 ETF BAFA PICNIC fundraiser on Sunday, June 3rd

We will hold our PICNIC fundraiser on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 at the Werder Shelter, Huddart Park, 1100 Kings Mountain Road, Woodside CA, 94062, starting at noon.

Event fees: (All food and drinks are included in the event fee.)

•  Adults (18 years+)
•  members: $25
•  non-members: $30
•  Students - $10
•  Kids - free

All income from the Picnic will go to the ETF BAFA Student Award and Scholarship Fund. We will have matching funds for your donations at picnic.

As usual, we will serve Serbian-style barbecue, and homemade appetizers, salads and deserts. If you would like to contribute to the event with food or refreshment donations, please contact us at etfbafa@gmail.com

ETF BAFA 2017-18 Student Stipends and Awards

The following students from ETF Belgrade received the 2017-18 ETF BAFA Stipends ($1,200):

The following students from ETF Belgrade received the 2017 ETF BAFA Awards for best diploma papers:

These awards and stipends were announced at the traditional ETF Ballroom Dance Party, which was held on Sunday, December 25, 2017, in Belgrade.

ETF BAFA 15th Anniversary Celebrations/160th Nikola Tesla Anniversary

ETF-BAFA will be celebrating its 15th Anniversary on Saturday, November 5, from 6 to 10 pm in downtown San Francisco. In addition, we will be celebrating the 160th Anniversary of Tesla’s birth with a guest lecture by Prof. Michael Pravica from UNLV.

The program will consist of a short summary of ETF-BAFA accomplishments (professional activities, student awards and stipends, humanitarian work), followed by Prof. Michael Pravica lecture on the life and achievements of Nikola Tesla. The awarded essay on Tesla prepared by the Berkeley Organization of Serbian Students – BOSS, will also be presented, as well as a 10-min trailer of the “Tesla Master of Lightning” documentary. 

Our evening will end with a reception and performances by the grеat Serbian musicians from the Bay Area.
