$10,000 for Computer Lab Equipment in Mathematical High School Belgrade

ETF BAFA has raised $10,000 among its members and friends, to support the computer lab fundraiser launched by Matematička gimnazija earlier this year. While Matematička gimnazija is continuously ranked among the world's most prestigious high schools in mathematics and science education, it also struggles with a lack of adequate funding to match its curriculum. Many thanks to ETF BAFA members and friends who helped support this outstanding institution and improve quality of education for future generations in Serbia.

17th Annual ETF BAFA Gathering, Saturday, October 27 @ 6pm

ETF BAFA will have its 17th Annual Gathering on Saturday, October 27, from 6 pm to 10:30 pm, in downtown San Francisco.

6:00 - 7:00 pm Social Hour

7:00 - 7:30 pm The program will consist of a short summary of ETF-BAFA accomplishments (professional activities, student awards and stipends, humanitarian work), followed by a presentation of the Award for the Best Diploma Paper in 2017 to Marija Novicic from the Electrical Engineering Department of the Belgrade University. Her mentor was Doc. Dr. Milica Jankovic, ETF, Belgrade).

7:30pm - 8:00pm Guest Lectures

• Prof Dr. Dragan Jankovic, "Faculty of Electronic Engineering at the University of Nis: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow"
• Goran Mladenovic, "Nis Cluster of Advanced Technologies (Ni CAT) - A High Tech Story"

2018 ETF BAFA PICNIC fundraiser on Sunday, June 3rd

We will hold our PICNIC fundraiser on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 at the Werder Shelter, Huddart Park, 1100 Kings Mountain Road, Woodside CA, 94062, starting at noon.

Event fees: (All food and drinks are included in the event fee.)

•  Adults (18 years+)
•  members: $25
•  non-members: $30
•  Students - $10
•  Kids - free

All income from the Picnic will go to the ETF BAFA Student Award and Scholarship Fund. We will have matching funds for your donations at picnic.

ETF BAFA 2017-18 Student Stipends and Awards

The following students from ETF Belgrade received the 2017-18 ETF BAFA Stipends ($1,200):

The following students from ETF Belgrade received the 2017 ETF BAFA Awards for best diploma papers:

1. The First Award (paid travel to the SF Bay Area and SiIlicon Valley):
   Marija Novicic (mentor Doc. Dr. Milica Jankovic) 
2. The Second Award ($500) and The Third Award ($500) share:
   Ana Micevic (mentor Doc. Dr. Marko Krstic) and
   Ivan Petric (mentor Prof. Dr. Slobodan Vukosavic)

These awards and stipends were announced at the traditional ETF Ballroom Dance Party, which was held on Sunday, December 25, 2017, in Belgrade.
